It’s so good to see Hidetaka Yoshioka back as Dr. Kenji “Doc” Noda! While I would have loved to see more story revealed and perhaps another kaiju, I’m actually kind of happy to have most of the film still cloaked in mystery.

If you look back at early Godzilla Minus One trailers, they did much the same thing, leaving me wondering what the film was going to be about. In an age where movie trailers can go on for two minutes and reveal far too much, ruining the element of surprise, I say: thank you, TOHO.
