Love horror comics? Check out Nectar by NYT bestselling author Jeremy Robinson with art by Annapaola Martello and Francesco Francini.
Set in 1837 in a village near Salem, Mass, the story is about a species of butterfly that feed on human blood spreading a “dancing plague” amongst the villagers.

So far, I’ve really enjoyed this one. It has the feel of classic Stephen King. A small town clash between science and religion. The characters feel familiar yet fresh in some way. It also features a parade of beautiful butterfly horror imagery. I can’t believe that no one had thought of using butterflies like this before. Nectar would make a really fun tv series or film.

Currently sitting at issue 3, I eagerly await issue 4. It’s been a while since I was chompin’ at the bit for the next issue of a comic!
Nectar is published by Vault Comics.
