Directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller and starring Ryan Gosling, Project Hail Mary is the story of an ordinary school science teacher, with no astronaut experience, sent to space to try and save the Earth.
If you like science fiction, Project Hail Mary is one of those books you hear about all the time. Very popular from what I understand. I so love a good sci-fi novel and this one is by the author of The Martian, another very popular book that was made into a movie. I never read The Martian, but I did see the movie once, enjoyed it, and never felt compelled to return to it. From the outside, Project Hail Mary sounded similar to The Martian and I’m not often in the mood for a “chamber piece.”
Now the movie adaptation of Project Hail Mary is here, and I have to say I was surprised across the board. Gosling looks well cast and engaging. The FX looks fantastic and the story promises much more than just a man alone in space. Check out the trailer.
