I’m currently watching the new Netflix series Asura, written (and directed?) by Hirokazu Koreeda. It is everything you could hope for in a Koreeda series.
I’ve been watching one episode in the mornings before work and I wake up with this song and montage in my head. It’s a good way to the start the day.
Set in 1979 Tokyo, the series is about four sisters who all lead very different lives and have very different outlooks on life and love. The show picks up after they find out their father has been having an affair.
Only one episode left, of the seven, to watch in season one. I am hopeful there is a second season on the way.
