The man you knew, the story you didn’t. Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story – Only in Theaters September 21 and September 25.

The Christopher Reeve Superman movies meant a lot to me when I was a kid. I had a life-changing eye injury when I was 7. I lost the lens in my right eye and now live with double vision. When Reeves was injured and paralyzed, it was heartbreaking on a new level. The fantasy was shattered.

The journey of his life, blending in with the iconic Superman character, is something nobody would have ever made up. I’m really looking forward to this documentary, and I’m really hoping James Gunn moves up to a cinematic Superman that is more inspiring than we’ve had in the last decade. The world needs hope. I don’t care where it comes from. If someone can find it in a comic book character, I’m all for it.
