I introduced my son to Godzilla at a pretty early age. He took to it right away. We would often set up cities and play Godzilla attack scenarios in his room and on the living room floor. It became a weekend tradition.
Over the years, we shot video while playing and made little movies with the phone. One of the last big brawls he wanted to use as many monsters as he could. With very little instruction, he just played and I would move around and try to capture the action. Sometimes he would even grab the phone and shoot while I took over the fight.
This little film is a sequel to an earlier movie we shot. It has been sitting on my computer for at least 2 years and I finally had some time to finish it. I call it a Director’s Cut because it’s about 10 minutes long. It’s was an end of era of play for me and him. I left our voices up in the background so you can kinda hear us with headphones. Shots are longer because I just wanted to let it all play out.
I miss those days. Life was simpler in many ways. You can’t go back but you always have the memories. And sometimes you have a Godzilla movie to help you remember too.
If you give this a watch I’d really love it and appreciate a comment. It would mean a lot.
Thanks and I hope you enjoy!
