Say what you will about the film, Joaquin Phoenix’s portrayal of the character is one for the ages. I loved the first film. It really took me by surprise in the theater. That said, it’s so depressing I’ve found myself not really going back to watch it. The sequel looks to be equally as depressing but also so well done.
What do you think? I’ll likely see it but think I’m gonna need to prepare myself. That Joker laugh really breaks your heart.
