The soothing sounds of the ‘My Neighbor Totoro’ Soundtrack | Joe Hisaishi

The Studio Ghibli film ‘My Neighbor Totoro” has to rank as one of my Top 3 favorite Miyazaki movies. It’s really impossible to rank things like that as every film can speak to you in different ways depending on where you are in your life.

One of my favorite parts of ‘My Neighbor Totoro’ is the musical score by longtime Miyazaki collaborator, Joe Hisaishi. It’s a comfort on days when the world just seems to be too big.

If you are already a fan of the film then you are probably very familiar with Joe’s music. If not, take a minute and give it a listen.

What is your favorite Studio Ghibli soundtrack? I’d love to hear your thoughts.

I’m going to have to say my favorite is the soundtrack from “When Marnie Was There” (which consists of songs by Priscilla Ahn) since I actually bought the album. 😁
