Cinematic Point Of View

There are entirely too many good lookin’ films on the near horizon these days. Hardly have time for them all. That’s a great problem to have.

Here’s another one about to premiere on Netflix. Check out the trailer for Train Dreams starring Joel Edgerton, Clifton Collins Jr., and Felicity Jones. Set in in the early 20th century, Train Dreams looks to chronicle the ordinary lives of a family trying to survive in the rugged forests of the Pacific Northwest.

There is a lot to love in this trailer. Great cast. The period setting looks beautiful. Some of the shots remind me of Terrence Malick’s work. What do you think?
