I took the kids to see the original Spider-Man (2002) in the theater last weekend. On the car ride home we were discussing how visceral it was compared to most movies today. I realized how much I was missing some Sam Raimi in my life.
And then this trailer for ‘Send Help,’ director Sam Raimi‘s new dark, survival horror film, dropped today. Check it out!
The film stars Rachel McAdams and Dylan O’Brien as two co-workers trying to survive on an island after a plane crash and the ensuing power struggle that occurs carrying over from their workplace dynamic. What begins as a desperate attempt to stay alive quickly unravels into something darker and bloodier.
Right away, you can spot so other many trademark Sam Raimi shots in this trailer. Nothing says Sam like someone screaming and wind blowing in their face. There are definitely shades of “Ash” at play here too.
Looks like ‘Send Help’ hits theaters in January 2026. Tear my ticket right now. How about you? Are you on board?
