Look who’s back! If I’m not mistaken that looks like the Godzilla 2000 design! Check out the short teaser trailer for the upcoming sixth “Fes Godzilla” short film that will premiere at Godzilla Fest in Toyko Dome City this November 3, 2025.

The new installment is directed, once again, by Kazuhiro Nakagawa and features Fuku Suzuki (Kamen Rider Geats). Here’s a blurb from the official Youtube page.

Even in this age of CGI, the special effects deeply ingrained in the DNA of Godzilla films must not be lost. This belief led to the launch of the new special effects series, “Fes Godzilla.” Their battle history brought Godzilla, Hedorah, Gigan, Jet Jaguar, and King Ghidorah back into the world of special effects. Then, in 2024, the 70th anniversary of Godzilla’s birth, the culmination of the series, “Fes Godzilla 5: Great Monster Battle,” drew the audience into a frenzy and reached a spectacular finale. This was the end. We couldn’t make any more. That’s what everyone on the production team thought. But the end was only a new beginning… On November 3, 2025, the new special effects film, “Fes Godzilla,” will move into a new phase.

I’m a big fan of these Godzilla short films as they tend to blend CG with the classic Godzilla suit look in a way we don’t get to see anywhere else.

And here’s the latest poster for the big event! Could this be Burning Millennium Godzilla? Sure looks like it.

I know that Toho released a blu-ray of all the Fes Godzilla shorts but as far as I can tell there isn’t a Region 1 with English subtitles available just yet. Come on, Toho! Pretty sure the Godzilla fanbase in the United States would eat this up. I know I would!
