The film tells the story Mathyas (Félix-Antoine Duval), a burned‑out advertising executive from Montreal who quits his urban life and moves to Provence to become a shepherd.
This movie looks beautiful. I have stacks of high octane action and horror/sci-fi blu-rays just waiting to be watched but lately….lately I’ve been in the mood for some slower paced films about nature and life. Middle age and the world, what are you doing to me?
On a side note, many years ago while living in Austin, Texas, I worked on goat farm and delivered goat milk. Worked there for two years. It was the worst job and also the best job. Never a dull moment. I’m hoping this film strikes a good balance between the fantasy and reality of a job like shepherding.
