A life-affirming, genre-bending story based on Stephen King’s novella about three chapters in the life of an ordinary man named Charles Krantz.
I love when Stephen King writes a “normal” story because you know it’ll be anything but normal. And Mike Flannigan, love him or hate him, he’s made some of the most beautifully shot, character and story rich streaming TV shows in the last decade. Hands down, Midnight Mass was one of the best things I’ve ever seen on Netflix and one of the best “Stephen King” stories that Stephen King never wrote.
With a cast that includes Tom Hiddleston, Mark Hamill, Karen Gillan, Mia Sara, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and many many more, The Life of Chuck looks to be the best feel good and feel sad cinema experience to see in this summer. Something to cleanse the palate in between summer popcorn movie fun.
