Ready or not, the Tron: Ares trailer has arrived and it looks pretty sweet. The official synopsis on IMDB reads…

A highly sophisticated Program, Ares, is sent from the digital world into the real world on a dangerous mission.

I like where they’re going with this. A bit of a twist on The Matrix. Or is our world also simply a program? There are so many different ways they could run with Tron, I am excited to find out.

The image of that HUGE Recognizer coming around the corner of the buildings downtown is truly awesome. The bikes looks amazing too. I’m honestly not much of a fan of Jared Leto, but I’ll reserve judgement until I see the film.

Also kinda cool is the soundtrack music by Nine Inch Nails. Bit of a throwback. Nice touch.

Tron is one of the special, nerdy video game films you loved as a kid and would show your friends, who were slightly less nerdy, who would then look at you like “You like this? What are they even doing?” To each his own.

Really looking forward to diving back into Flynn’s world one more time.
