When their evil enemy resurfaces after 16 years, a group of ex-revolutionaries reunites to rescue one of their own’s daughter.
The films is said to be inspired by Thomas Pynchon’s novel Vineland and set in modern times where the book was set in the mid 80s. Not that I generally care about budget at all, I read that this is Anderson’s highest budget film to date at $140 million.
The trailer has crazy manic energy. It’s giving me those Magnolia and Boogie Nights era feelings. It has the right vibe for the times we’re living in. I love it when the big boy directors come to play. That sounds weird, but you know what I mean. Can’t wait!
One Battle After Another is set to release in theaters September 2025.
