We had a great time at the Lexington Comic and Toy Convention yesterday. It was the perfect way to end a memorable week. Got to hang with friends and then we all sorta went our own ways. The thing was massive and packed full of comic books, toys, and everything a nerd like myself could ever want. It was fandom heaven.
Still can’t believe I got to meet legendary comic book artist John Romita Jr.! Amazing Spiderman, Captain America, X-Men…this guy was a huge part of my childhood. So surreal to actually meet him and he was a super nice. Got a photo and autograph.
Then even more surreal was having the chance to sit a few feet from another legend, William Shatner! We just stumbled into the room right before went on stage.
The hour long session was full of humor, wild tangents, and stories about Greenpeace, space flight, Star Trek, and horses. It was classic Shatner.
All goals met. Best con yet!
