The AppleTV+ series Monarch: Legacy of Monsters is one of those shows divides a lot of Godzilla fans for a variety of reasons. I fall somewhere in the middle leaning toward LIKE. It has a healthy share of flaws but the good outweighs the bad too me. One of those things I really LIKE is the soundtrack by Leopold Ross.
I love the main theme. It think captures the intended spirit of the show and I find myself turning to it often while working on different designs at my day job or humming it around the house.
I wasn’t sure if there would be a season 2 of Monarch for a while, but I’m glad that there will be and I’m glad that production is finally underway. I hope it solves some of the quality consistency issues from the first season and they can create something truly great.
