Cinematic Point Of View

In my seemingly life long quest to collect all things Godzilla, I’ve found myself picking up these official Toho Godzilla SFX books.

In volume 68 we have shots of Godzilla vs. Megalon. At only 16 pages long, these photo flip books remind me of something you might find in a studio tour gift shop. They don’t offer up much more than some full page behind-the-scene photos of different Godzilla productions and honestly that’s enough for me.

Shōwa era Godzilla was the Godzilla I first encountered as a kid so these images speak to my inner child. I’ve found myself picking up this little book to flip through as a sort of “brain break” during the work week to help me reset and feel inspired.

Godzilla to the rescue in more ways than one.
