Cinematic Point Of View

Check out the trailer for “BOOKWORM” starring Elijah Wood, Nell Fisher, and Michael Smiley.

The official synopsis reads “11-year-old Mildred’s world is turned upside down when her estranged father, the washed-up magician Strawn Wise, comes to look after her and agrees to take her camping to find a mythological beast known as the Canterbury Panther.”

As a step-sad to grown children and the father of a young one, this looks like a film I can relate to. Making and keeping a connection with your kids isn’t always easy for a parent. I know I worry about it all the time. Likely more that I should.

Anyway, this film has one of our favorite hobbits running around the woods of New Zealand again so that gives it big leg up already. Also has a bit of a “Hunt For The Wilderpeople” vibe as well. Looking forward to checking this one out.
