Okay I can admit it. I am genuinely looking forward to ‘Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F.’ The trailer is put together well. It looks to have all of the original cast on board. All of the same silly one-liner observations. Over the top 80s action scenes. The Axel F theme. Eddie Murphy actually looking happy to be playing a role. It’s nostalghia overload and I can admit I’m buying it.
I realize this is a Netflix movie and the chances of it being “great cinema” is low but so what? I’m going in with low expectations and high enthusiasm that it will be pleasant way to spend 2 hours of my life one night. Fingers crossed.
